Privacy Policy

This is a draft. Mokii is in private alpha and this policy is still under review against the Australian Privacy Principles. It will be finalised before Mokii is open to the public. If anything here is unclear, email hello@mokii.au and we’ll answer plainly.
What this covers
This policy explains what Mokii collects, why, and what we do and don’t do with it. It applies to this website and the Mokii app.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email, and how to reach you. We need this to set up your safety net and to contact you.
- Your pets and your circle — the animals you add and the people you choose to be notified. You control who’s in your circle.
- Location — used to watch your home geofence, so Mokii knows whether you can get back. It is not used to track your movements beyond that.
- Check-in activity — when you check in, and when a check-in is missed, so Mokii can do its job.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data. Your information is not our business model.
- We don’t run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on you.
- We don’t share your data except to deliver the alerts you’ve set up (for example, sending an SMS to a contact you nominated).
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active, and delete it within a reasonable period after you close your account, except where we’re required to retain something by law.
Your choices
You can view, correct, or delete your data, and close your account at any time. To make a request, email hello@mokii.au.
